Information - Ken Ichijouji started out as the evil Digimon Kaizer (Digimon Emperor to dub fans). He caused the Digimon much pain, because at the time, he believed this was nothing more than an online game, and the monsters felt nothing. He treated his Digimon partner, Wormmon, with much disrespect as well. However, when Chimeramon turned on him after he created him, Wormmon later sacrificed himself to save Ken. It was after that, when Ken realised the wrongs he had been doing all this time. He later regains Wormmon as Leafmon, he went back and tried to correct the things he had done wrong.

Reason for adoration - Ken was, in truth, the only actual reason I even bothered watching Zero 2. I hated the fact they'd removed the real heroes of the story, and I hated the ending more than any other I'd ever seen for more than one reason. With that aside though, Ken is by far my favourite character in any Digimon series. Koushirou had always been my favourite, up until Ken came along. I loved his sarcasm as the Kaizer, but I also loved his kindness when he was back to normal. I also believe Ken has the strongest relationship with his Digimon out of all the kids, which is, for me, very admirable, as you're not allowed to pick the 'cool' Digimon. He was able to bond very well with him, when he admitted in their duet, he thought he wasn't cool.
