Information - In the first series of Yuugiou, he was a little bit psycho. He used games other than Duel Monsters, and, should his opponent lost to him, gave out 'Penalty Games'. Such as sending Seto Kaiba into the world of Duel Monsters. In Duel Monsters, he's lost the touch of sending out penalty games (Shame, I enjoyed them). Instead, he's undefeatable. Unless his opponent threatens to jump off the building like Seto Kaiba did. And come to think of it, he didn't seem to care about him. It was little Yuugi who prevented him from winning (Bad Yuugi. Bad, bad Yuugi!). By the end of Duel Monsters, he's gained a little bit more respect for his friends, and understands friendship a lot more. I'm sure Seto Kaiba will miss him - After all, the series ended with him never truly defeating Yami.



Reason for adoration - I personally found Yami to be one of the more enjoyable characters in the series. In fact, he's my fave character of all-time, along with Demyx. I prefer him over all the other anime characters from ANY other series. I have too many reasons to list really, but it's just something about him. I originally found Yami via the FIRST series of Yuugiou. That's right, the first. Not the Duel Monster series which 90% of the population outside Japan saw first. So, he's been my all-time fave character for 7 years now. And I'm still obsessed with him.
